My name is Paul Smulders. After having been in B2B sales for more than 20 years, I started my trainer career in 2002 in a franchise organisation.

Quickly after I started, my customers entrusted me to train their best people in sales and people management skills in Asia, the USA, South America and Europe.

In 2012 I founded Train ’n Gain, together with Lex van Sonderen.

Immediately after the start, we began to produce videos that depict all kinds of realistic sales- and leadership scenarios. Meanwhile, the portfolio consists of more than 700 videos in Dutch, English and German. We used those in our e-learning system, that we developed ourselves. 
From 2015 on, we focused on a native micro-learning app, that allows our customers to train themselves on their smartphones.
In 2017, the first interactive sales training webinars were delivered. In combination with the training app, this makes a unique online sales training programme. And of course, it is also a great follow-up instrument for classroom-style training courses.

In 2018 I became 100% owner of Train ’n Gain. My passion is still to help people to become better at sales or leadership. Since 2002 I have trained more than 10.000 salespeople in classroom-style training and I have delivered more than 100 training webinars to people from more than 20 countries.

Because of the Corona crisis, online learning went in overdrive in 2020. Meanwhile, I deliver online sales training just like classroom-style training: with confronting role-plays, motivating group dynamics and a customised training programme.
